DSE Training is a requirement within DSE legislation (DSE Regulations 1992 & 2002). You should provide suitable training for staff members that use computers and more detailed DSE training for those responsible for the management of computer users.

DSE Assessor Training (1 day)

This Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessor training course will teach you how to meet your legal responsibilities whilst also reducing risks, reducing absence figures and improving staff morale and productivity. It provides all the required information on how to implement an effective DSE policy and carry out DSE assessments internally.

Who should attend?

Office managers, team leaders, health & safety managers and HR managers. Or anyone who is given the responsibility of managing a DSE Policy.

Course content

Understanding the legislation and implementing good standard procedures. How to carryout both standard DE assessments and reactive DSE assessments to help individual employees. The course has a strong practical basis but also provides a good understanding of anatomy and physiology relating to musculoskeletal issues and disabilities. A reference and guidance manual is provided along with a certificate on completion of the course.

DSE Awareness Seminars

These seminars last for approximately 1 hour and they are only provided within your premises. They are designed to meet part of your employee DSE training obligations and will give your computer users a practical and anatomical understanding of why they are asked to use their equipment correctly. They will also give your staff the knowledge to make simple adjustments throughout the day to ensure they feel more comfortable and their working postures remain good. Perfect as part of your induction training or as part of your on-going training policy.
